This course covers the basic concepts of English Phonology, from the history of English phonology to its application in English language teaching; students will learns about phonemes, allophones, stress, intonation and rhythm in English, as well as analyze the differences in pronunciation between different English accents. The course also teaches how to apply phonological principles in English language teaching.
